Shane Renaldo Johnson answered the calling into Christian ministry at age 15 in October 1996.
He graduated high school in 1999, but "took the scenic route through undergrad," earning a BA in Religion in 2007. He earned a Biblical Languages minor, learning Biblical Greek and Hebrew. He has since used to translate Matthew and Mark's Gospels; he's begun translating "Luke" and "Acts," written by Luke the physician.
Shane married Princess Howell Johnson in 2011 and, about 10 years later, they had one daughter.
After planting "the Lighthouse in Greensboro" in 2017, he began writing Transitions in February 2020, just before COVID rocked the world. Writing Transitions, cooking, and wandering around the grocery store were among the things Shane used to combat stir crazy.
The story "practically wrote itself" within a year, but Shane joined the Greensboro Playwrights Forum for peer feedback and potentially build a cast. In the meantime, Shane has acted in several stage plays.

Writing the script was the easy part. It kinda wrote itself. Reformatting the script to match the official format is annoying, but the real monster is casting!
I acted in some Vacation Bible School skits in elementary school and middle school. I never imagined I'd one day write a movie or act on stage, but I love it!
