Jake is a respectable and diligent architect. He collaborates with many groups and has projects all over Greensboro and a few surrounding cities and towns. Jake is generally mellow and relatable, except when it comes to Mikey.
On the rare occasion that Sophie speaks Spanish, it's obvious that Jake doesn't understand.
"Sophie" is very articulate, sophisticated, intelligent, charismatic, and feisty. You might not agree with everything she says, but she's great at breaking things down and helping people buy in. She isn't intentionally manipulative, but she can be rude, bossy, and annoying. As aggravating as she sometimes can be, you can't help but respect her.
She is a second-generation immigrant from Puerto Rico, Yauco near Cerro El Rodadero. She rarely speaks Spanish, except with Stevie.
Mikey is 18 at rise. He's Jake and Sophie's middle child, Mimi's younger brother.
He couldn't say "Amelia" when he started talking, only "Mimi" and that became her name.
Tentatively, Isaiah Little will play Mikey.
He often felt frustrated "living in Mimi's shadow, even though she never saw it as a competition. Instead, she encourages him to find his own greatness.
Mikey was Salutatorian of Dudley’s Class of 2012 and earned a full academic scholarship to NC State. Life was great until a night of drinking with the frat led to alcohol poisoning. He fights alcoholism for the rest of his life.
Mimi's baby brother, "Stevie," was born on December 1, 1998.
He is a 14-year-old high Sophomore when Zeke and Mimi meet.

Since this role isn't yet an adult, we'll need to discuss this with a parent or guardian.
He was diagnosed as autistic early on, around age 4. It isn't visibly obvious, but it shows up in his ridiculously high IQ and social awkwardness; he's very childlike and doesn't catch hints. The family treats him like a baby and he hates it!
His mom, Sophie, is 2nd generation from Puerto Rico. She doesn't really speak much Spanish except with Stevie. No one else really understands much Español.
